Art Chocolate Competition
On 5 April 2016 the art competition “Chocolate Artist” was held. It’s the competition of painters and decorators who deal with the most delicious material – natural chocolate.
As the organizing members state, a creative goal of this contest is to start a tradition of art painting events in Lviv Handmade Chocolate, to promote a professional development of chocolate artists, to exchange experience, ideas and skills.
The artists were competing to get the award in the categories “The Best Painter” and “The Most Creative Decorator”, that’s why the competition was two-sided. The talented painters performed a chocolate sketch in their own technique, whereas the decorators had to demonstrate the most unusual elements of chocolate decorating and embody them in chocolate products.

Creative skills and professionalism of all participants were evaluated by qualified judges, creative chocolate artists: Olha Fedyshyn – Head Product Technologist at Lviv Handmade Chocolate, Maskym Fadeev – Production Manager at Lviv Handmade Chocolate, Andriana Chunis – Graphic Designer, Fashion Illustratot, Olha Pronkiv – Head Chocolatier at Lviv Handmade Chocolate, Mila Shakhotyna – Painter at Lviv Handmade Chocolate.
All artists have made great effort: painters created real chocolate masterpieces and decorators impressed the audience and judges by their creativity and presentation. At the same time each artist could show his own individual style of work with chocolate.
All participants of the chocolate competition received positive encouragements and unforgettable experience as well as the awards and exciting gifts from the organizing members.

Ania Hladka, Cherkasy
"Hello! I really enjoyed today painting on chocolate. It was my first time and I low to everyone who can do it. It’s difficult. I am amazed how many people were here and how they are talented. Thank you"
Zuzana Studená, Prague
"I enjoyed the competition greatly. All these surprises.. Everything was on the highest level. It was great to meet many people and not only from Ukraine. It’s very essential for us to see how people work with chocolate in Poland and the Czech Republic. I liked the organization, too, the attention to the participants (one disadvantage – it was cold), but our hearts were warmed up by friendship, attention and care. Thank you very much.”
